Taegutec offers chase f-ball machining cutter for the mould & die and aerospace industry. It has a wide prism contact between the insert and holder that provides and extremely stable structure. The innovative design of this cutter features a maximum run-out of 0.01 mm, performance levels not attained by competing v-pocket designs. The guide roll of the prism shape facilitates clamping of the insert to holder, and a high-tensile screw strengthens the clamping structure. A carbide shank that makes the chase f-ball ideal for machining deep mould cavities further supports this structure. The high rigidity of the cutter makes it suitable for high-precision milling at high speed. It has rigidity equivalent to that of a solid carbide end mill, which offers significantly better tool life, surface finish, and more accuracy than steel-shank tooling. This is one of the factors that make the chase f-ball ideal for semi-finishing and finishing operations. Available insert grades arc the tt9030 for general machining, tt 1040 for high-hardened steel and high-speed machining, and tt8030 for semi-finishing and aerospace application. The insert range makes the chase f-ball suitable for machining low-carbon steels, alloy steels, pro-hardened mold and die steel, tool steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminium alloys.
